Support Equality

Resources to help you get involved and drive change.

The past few months have illuminated years of appalling tragedies and systemic inequalities, including the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor (among too many others). With the current protests, the call for change is echoing across the country. While this is a long road, there are several ways we can come together to create a new world, and a new standard to hold ourselves accountable to.

Big and small, every action counts. We’ve compiled a list of actionable resources that have helped us get involved, and we hope it can do the same for you.

Donate

Donations are an effective way to help organizations who are on the ground doing the heavy lifting. We’ve listed a variety of organizations doing a variety of work, including legal aid and bailout funds.

Petitions

Signing petitions is a positive action you can take from anywhere to show up and support causes you believe in.

Support Black-Owned Businesses

Where you spend your money matters. Consider doing a conscious shift in your shopping habits and direct them to businesses who need your support in more ways than one.

Amplify Black Voices

Part of equality is making sure every voice is heard and represented, and that includes the creative field. By sharing the creativity of Black Creators and Innovators, you help celebrate their hard work and make sure that it becomes acknowledged.

Educate Yourself and Others

It all starts with learning more, here are resources we’ve used to educate ourselves, family, and friends:
